We made it to Utah! The trip was actually really great except for when the roofbag flew off the back of the van into oncoming traffic at 10 o'clock at night. Corey jumped out quickly and dragged the bag (containing all of our wrapped gifts) out of the road just as a huge 18 wheeler rolled by. Then an angel in the form of a Walmart employee who works in the automotive department stopped to help us. She threw the roofbag into her trunk and led us back to the Walmart and took Corey in to find better straps for the bag. What a blessing! We got all set up again and decided to push on for the three more hours to our hotel. We arrived at 1 AM and had a good rest. The kids were great. We were in the car from 7 in the morning until 1 in the morning. I was impressed. Sadie hardly made a noise the entire time. She was an angel. Day 2 was smooth sailing with perfect weather and great scenery as we passed through Moab, UT. We got to my mom's at 6 o'clock with steaks waiting for us. Yipee!
The next morning we woke to huge snowflakes falling all around. We got about 8 inches and the kids have been having a ball. It hasn't really stopped yet. It is wonderful to have a white Christmas. I just hope that it stops when we head further north to Washington.
Buddy the elf found us in Utah too. Nana has an elf too, so we've had two elves reporting the kids' behavior to Santa. Out of the mouths of two or three witnesses right? Check out how they got to Santa's last night.

Love the elves in the car! Gives me an idea :)
Wish we had a little snow to play in. And so glad you guys were able to save the bag of presents!
Yeah! SO glad you guys made it safely! We'll see you soon in a couple of days! (As long as the freeway doesn't get closed down!)
Yea, we found your blog. Your family is so cute! I can't believe how big the kids have gotten. We're trying hard to keep up with the Neddos. My sister lives in Prosper so maybe one of these days I will go visit and we can see you guys.
