So, my brother Darren is a wildlife biologist for the state of Utah and today we got to go with him to feed the elk herd. We drove up to Hardware Ranch and got on the hay wagon and fed the elk. Darren is testing the herd for a disease that is affecting the moms and getting into the cattle herds too. So he's been trapping some of them and testing them for the disease. We got to help set the trap and move some of the ones who were trapped last night. He'll do blood tests and let them back into the herd. It was really fun. Keller had a great time weilding the pitch fork and trying not to feed himself to the herd.
We are having fun in Utah. We're bummed we didn't make it up to Corey's parents in Washington. We headed out at 4 in the morning last Saturday and an hour later, only having gone 30 miles, we decided that we better turn around. It turns out to have been a good decision. Spokane is still being dumped on with record snowfall. We are glad to be safe, but so sad we didn't get to spend time with the Neddos.

That's so fun up there! Glad you could go, and hope you stayed warm enough! When do you guys leave for home? Maybe we should make a day trip up?

Hey it looks like you had a fun trip despite the snow! I wish we could have seen you guys. We went up to northern utah for only a short time and I thought you were in WA. DANG! oh well. I hope the drive home was ok-can't imagine driving that distance with 5 kids. Great job! So how did you get music on your blog and how did you get a cool background-I'm sick of ugly and boring so I want to "upgrade."
